Day 1

Vancouver

Arrive in Vancouver and transfer to your hotel – the 5* Fairmont Waterfront.

Settle in and take the rest of the day at your own pace. You might choose to stroll along the scenic seawall or browse local shops in historic Gastown. This is the perfect base for exploring the city.

Day 2

Vancouver

Set off on a thrilling 5-hour jet ski tour through Vancouver’s coastal waters and the UNESCO-listed Howe Sound fjord. Spot seals, sea lions, eagles, and more as you explore remote coves and marine sanctuaries with your expert guide.

Pause for a relaxed lunch at Bowen Island’s Snug Cove before cruising back through this rich and rugged seascape. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure to continue exploring the city.

Day 3

Vancouver Island

Start the day with a flight to Powell River, before transferring to the incredible Klahoose Lodge via shuttle and boat transfer. Upon arrival, enjoy a traditional Klahoose song to welcome you and then settle into your accommodation. Explore the lodge before a chef-prepared dinner and evening cultural activities.

This is a once in a lifetime stay featuring Royal Canadian Geographical Society Ambassador and Canadian astronaut Dr. Dave Williams. Over the next four nights, experience the abundant natural beauty and cultural heritage of Klahoose territory, alongside exclusive moments with Dr. Williams.

Guided by storytelling, excursions, and fireside conversation, guests will uncover the connections between space, science, Indigenous culture, and the future of our world - all in the stunning setting of Desolation Sound.

Days 4-5

Vancouver Island

The next two days will be spent exploring Yekwamen (or Toba Inlet) with your guide, home to the Klahoose people. Travel by boat and then road to a remote river where you will observe grizzly bears in their natural habitat from fixed viewing platforms.

In the evenings, enjoy time with Dr. Williams, along with cultural sharing with cultural interpreters. On one evening, you will have the opportunity to marvel at in the beauty of the coast with a private sunset dining experience for two – set upon the lodge’s oceanfront deck. Indulge in a locally inspired three-course meal and included wine as the sun sets over the ocean.

Day 6

Vancouver Island

Enjoy a day at the resort led by cultural interpreters. You will have the opportunity to partake in kayaking, paddleboarding, ocean swimming, nature walks and ocean foraging. Unwind and take advantage of the lodge’s amenities before a special cedar-brushing off ceremony to mark the end of your stay.

Day 7

Winnipeg

After a group breakfast, you’ll depart Klahoose Lodge and continue to Powell River, where you will board your return flight to Winnipeg. Catch a final glimpse of the West Coast and reflect on your time in Klahoose territory. Upon arrival in Winnipeg, settle into your accommodations and spend the rest of the day as you please – perhaps relaxing or exploring the city.

Day 8

Winnipeg

On this day, you will enjoy a private tour of Winnipeg, delving into the city’s vibrant arts scene, rich history and diverse culture. Along the way, hear stories that bring the city to life, offering an insight into its unique character.

After your tour, the rest of the day is at leisure to explore at your own pace – whether that means revisiting a favourite spot, browsing local shops or diving into Winnipeg’s dynamic culinary scene.

In the evening, enjoy a welcome dinner - building excitement for the adventure ahead as you learn more about the itinerary.

Day 9

Churchill               

Fly Winnipeg to Churchill

Start the day with an early morning breakfast before your flight.

Fly from Winnipeg to Churchill, where you will enjoy a tour of the area, learning about local and historical points of interest, which include the Polar Bear Holding Facility and Inukshuk. Lunch will be at a local restaurant, indulging in a taste of regional flavours. Next, visit the fascinating Itsanitaq Museum - home to one of Canada's finest collections of Inuit artifacts. This is the perfect place to gain a deeper understanding of the heritage of the region.

You will then check into The Tundra Inn. Your time here is truly unique, as this is a private experience shared exclusively with your group. Nestled in the heart of polar bear country, the lodge offers incredible opportunities for wildlife viewing and connection with the landscape. This exclusive access offers a deeply memorable and intimate experience.

Enjoy dinner at a local restaurant and unwind after a day of adventure. After dinner, a Cultural Presentation will allow you further insight into the traditions and history of the community.

Day 10

Churchill

The day begins with breakfast in Churchill, before embarking on a full-day Tundra Buggy® Adventure in the Churchill Wildlife Management Area (CWMA). Designed with comfort and safert in mind, this is a fantastic way to observe polar bears, arctic foxes, hares and a variety of bird species in their natural habitat. 

After a day of adventure, indulge in dinner at a local restaurant with regional ingredients such as Arctic char, wild berries and bison. The evening concludes with a Cultural Presentation delving into Churchill's culture and spirit.

Day 11

Churchill

Enjoy breakfast at a local restaurant and venture to the Parks Canada Visitor Centre, where you will learn more about the wildlife, landscapes and culture of the region.

Next, visit the Polar Bears International House - where you will gain a deeper insight into the life of polar bears and climate change's impact on their habitat. This is a must-visit for those passionate about wildlife and conservation.

Refuel with lunch at a local restaurant before experiencing the thrill of mushing through the snowy wilderness on a dog sledding adventure. Meet a team of sled dogs and delve into the history of this exhilarating mode of transport on a mile-long ride.

The day concludes with a delicious dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 12

Winnipeg

Begin the day with breakfast in Churchill, and then embark on a Tundra Buggy® Adventure, keeping an eye out for polar bears and other incredible wildlife. This is a fantastic opportunity to explore the wilderness and get up close to these magnificent animals.

Later you will board your return flight from Churchill to Winnipeg. After days of adventure and discovery in the north, take this time to relax and reflect as you journey south. Your Winnipeg accommodation is the historic Fort Garry Hotel, where you can unwind for the evening in one of the city’s iconic landmarks.

Day 13

Toronto

Fly Winnipeg to Toronto

Fly from Winnipeg to Toronto, Ontario’s vibrant capital. After arriving at your hotel, the remainder of the day is yours to enjoy at leisure. Depending on your arrival time, you might choose to explore or simply unwind at your hotel.

Toronto offers a dynamic blend of cultures, cuisines, and experiences, and this evening provides the perfect opportunity to get your first taste of the city’s vibrant atmosphere. Whether you opt for a quiet dinner at a local restaurant or a walk along the scenic waterfront, the city is yours to discover.

Toronto

Enjoy a private sightseeing day tour of Niagara Falls and Niagara-on-the-Lake, tailor made to suit your interests. Toronto

Today you will have most of the day at leisure to explore all that Toronto has to offer including its vibrant neighbourhoods, world-class museums and bustling waterfront.

A highlight of your afternoon will be visit to the CN Tower, and you can choose to enjoy a memorable lunch at the 360 Restaurant, where you’ll dine high above the city with breathtaking, revolving views of Toronto and Lake Ontario. Savor regional cuisine made from fresh, local ingredients while watching the city slowly rotate below you.

After lunch, continue your independent exploration or relax back at your hotel. Your evening is free to experience Toronto’s renowned dining scene, take in a live performance, or simply unwind after a day well spent.

Toronto

Depart Toronto today with memories of an incredible journey, having witnessed breath-taking wildlife and landscapes along the way.
