This exquisite tour takes you through some charming cities, vast national parks and witnessing the incredible Canadian Rockies. You will experience the Icefields Parkway on the Ice Explorer – travelling over snow and ice, take a beautiful cruise on the Maligne Lake you won’t believe it’s real. This 13 day and 12 night tour escorted tour takes you through a great variety of experiences through Vancouver, a ferry to Victoria on Vancouver Island before journey up to Jasper before travelling through the Rocky Mountains towards Lake Louise and Banff – a fantastic way to see Western Canada! Day 1

Vancouver

Welcome to Vancouver! Make your way independently to your hotel and recuperate before joining your Tour Director and other travellers for the Welcome Reception dinner.

Overnight: Holiday Inn & Suites Vancouver Downtown or similar. Dinner included.

Day 2

Vancouver  Victoria, Vancouver Island

Starting your tour off, head to the historic Chinatown and Gastown neighbourhoods before embarking on a ferry to Vancouver Island. Enroute, you will get to visit a family-owned cider house and enjoy a talk and tasting before continuing to Victoria.

Overnight: Hotel Grand Pacific Victoria or similar. Breakfast included.

Day 3

Victoria, Vancouver Island

This morning head to Butchart Gardens for breakfast and exclusive access before the public to see the beautiful oasis that has been blossoming over 100 years in Victoria. Learn how they have transformed and maintained this stunning garden which was once a disused quarry. Enjoy the rest of your day in Victoria at your own leisure. How about stepping aboard an optional whale watching experience whilst you’re here?

Day 4

Victoria – Whistler

As you make your journey to Whistler, you will stop by Chemainus to see it’s vivid murals around the town. Board a ferry to Vancouver as you journey on the scenic Sea-To-Sky Highway route. Admire the views as you get to Summit Lodge on the Sea-to-Sky Gondola.

Day 5

Whistler

Learn about the First Nations at Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Centre as you delve into the history of the region. Why not make the most of Whistler and enjoy an optional excursion on the iconic Peak 2 Peak Gondola? With its 360-degree views over volcanic peaks taking you across BC’s rooftops towards Whistler Blackcomb – a vibrant and atmospheric village.

Day 6

Whistler – Sun Peaks

Head towards Sun Peaks, en route you will stop at the beautiful Seton Lake with its turquoise blue colours and snow-capped mountains surrounding it. Arrive in Sun Peaks where you can enjoy the rest of the day at leisure and dinner in a local restaurant.

Overnight: Sun Peaks Lodge or similar. Breakfast and dinner included.

Day 7

Sun Peaks – Banff

Drive through Glacier and Yoho National Parks on your way to Banff, soaking in the best of the UNESCO-listed Canadian Rockies. Experience the thrill of Canada’s highest suspension bridge at Golden Skybridge, with canyon ridge trails offering stunning views of the Columbia Valley and surrounding mountain ranges. End the day with an overnight stay in beautiful Banff National Park.

Day 8

Banff

Enjoy a leisurely morning - opt for a gondola ride or explore Banff on your own. Later, take an orientation tour of Banff National Park. In the evening, meet a Mountie in their iconic red serge uniform and hear about their fascinating history before sitting down to dinner.

Day 9

Banff – Lake Louise – Jasper

Be part of a lakeside talk at Lake Louise before boarding onto the giant Ice Explorer, the ultimate Canadian experience as you ride on the towering vehicle across the ancient Athabasca Glacier. With its monstrous 6 wheels, it can handle the snow and terrain on this expedition over the glacier – a once in a lifetime adventure!

Day 10

Jasper

Take a guided walk to Maligne Canyon (currently closed due to 2024 wildfire damage) and enjoy a narrated cruise on Maligne Lake (seasonal) to Spirit Island. Continue to Jasper, where this evening you’ll join Matricia Bauer for a Be My Guest experience on traditional First Nations land—learn about the significance of foraged drink bitters and hear stories over dinner.

Day 11

Jasper  Mount Robson  Kamloops

Journey to Kamloops today but before arriving, you’ll get to admire the immense Mount Robson – the tallest peak in the Canadian Rockies. Enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure.

Overnight: South Thompson Inn & Conference Centre or similar. Breakfast included

Day 12

Kamloops  Vancouver

After breakfast, get your heart rate pumping as head towards the Capilano Suspension Bridge Park – glide through the treetops as you walk from one side of the 140 metres long bridge to the other. The height of the suspension bridge hangs 70 metres above the Capilano River. Explore the gorgeous tree lined pathways in Stanley Park when you arrive in Vancouver. Tonight’s evening is at your leisure. Why not stroll to Downtown Vancouver and dine at some of the superb seafood restaurants.

Fly home from Vancouver

Say goodbye to this impressive tour as you fly home from Vancouver airport. But if you don’t feel like heading home yet – why not add on an Alaskan cruise to make this an unforgettable holiday?
