Discover quaint architecture, gorgeous scenery and outdoor activities

Victoria Canada is a city of year-round outdoor adventure opportunities. With generally mild temperatures for all seasons including winter, many outdoor explorations opportunities and tours run no matter the season with everything from whale watching and ecology tours, to adventure kayaking, fishing, and even surfing. Victoria also has numerous beautiful golf courses open all year. It’s always golf season in Victoria! A holiday in Victoria is a portal into stunning natural beauty and relaxing west coast island culture.

Situated just an hour and a half ferry ride from mainland Vancouver on the west coast of British Columbia, Victoria is the capital of British Columbia and B.C.’s “Garden City”. It is a fantastic place to enjoy strolls whether through one of the numerous beautiful botanical gardens and parks, through forests or by the sea. Many also enjoy walking along the break-water at Odgen Point, a 2km (1.3 mi) cement barrier which shoots out into the ocean. The break-water can make for a very lovely stroll offering fantastically refreshing sea breezes and views of the ocean and surrounding area (though it is to be avoided on windy days).

Victoria is also architecturally beautiful featuring many stately homes and hotels built in the early 1900s. Most notably the famous Fairmont Empress Hotel features stunning architecture and still hosts a daily English High Tea (it is also allegedly where the Queen stays when she visits Victoria). Many who come to Victoria also come to enjoy the prevalence of marine life including sea otters, dolphins, orca whales and grey whales, all which swim in the surrounding coastal waters. Victoria is a home to a bustling arts industry with many opportunities to see great local independent musicians and local theatre along with world-class opera and symphony.

Holidays in Victoria are ideal for those seeking a relaxing getaway with scenic views and natural wonders or for creative spirits seeking a retreat from busy city life.
