Overview

A completely striking and outstanding area of beauty nestled within Banff’s endless mountains, this incredible setting creates an unforgettable, breath-taking wedding ceremony.

Hoodoo Lookout is a wonderfully secluded and romantic spot; Say ‘I do’ against a magnificent mountainous backdrop, overlooking snow-capped mountain peaks and spectacular views of rolling valleys… a setting you’re sure to remember for the rest of your life. This inspiring location is one of Banff’s most stunning spots, and suits couples who want to really make a statement on their special day without losing any of the charm or romance of an intimate wedding, accommodating a maximum of twenty people.

For this particular venue, we feature three wonderful wedding packages. Our Classic Wedding offers all the comforts and features to create a smooth and romantic ceremony, such as a personal wedding planner, transfers, a bridal bouquet, grooms buttonhole and sparkling wine for the bride and groom to enjoy back at the hotel. If you upgrade to our Premier package, you’ll be further treated to a professional photographer to capture the utter beauty of this destination, as well as a beautiful wedding cake delivered to your hotel. For an incredibly spectacular and romantic day, we think our Luxury Wedding is the perfect option; featuring professional bridal hair & makeup, a special Ice Fields or Dog Sledding Tour through the marvellous scenery, and champagne for the newlyweds to enjoy in the comfort of your hotel.

Hoodoo Lookout is situated on Tunnel Mountain in Banff, just a short distance from the centre of the city. A short walk along a paved trail will bring you to a few sensational lookout spots and a beautiful grassed area away from the bustle of the town. The walk from the car park is around 10 minutes – the slight incline means this is not suitable for anyone who may have difficulty walking on unstable ground.

ON ARRIVAL

Couples must obtain wedding licence in Banff – even if staying in Lake Louise.  Licence cost IS included & accompanied.  Cost of transfer from Lake Louise to Banff is NOT included.  Licence office is open Monday – Friday.

We suggest having two pair of shoes one outdoor pair (these can be white fur boots or any type of show that are easy to walk on snow) and an indoor pair which can be worn for photographs, ceremony, reception etc.  We suggest bringing a fur cape or wrap if you are planning to do an outdoor ceremony or photographs outdoors. Alternatively you can wear a winter coat and remove it for the ceremony or photographs. We also suggest bringing some gloves.  During all seasons mountain weather is known for it's unpredictability we always suggest checking the weather forecast prior to arrival to check the current weather trends so your guests can dress accordingly

Additional Information

Legally you could get married the same day as you arrive! However, we recommend you have a couple of days to get used to any time change and orient yourselves. We will send you the necessary forms before you arrive in town and submit them to the Bureau for you. We will set up an appointment to take you to get your licence when you arrive.
