Day 3
Calgary – Lake Louise
Pick up your hire car and take the scenic drive to Lake Louise. Enjoy a stroll to admire the beautiful views of this famous lake and relax over a hot chocolate to
take in the atmosphere.

Day 4
Lake Louise
Enjoy an energetic day out in the great outdoors as you take an “introduction to snowshoeing” tour. On this two hour guided tour, you will be taken to the top of the mountain to experience the breath-taking views. Certified guides will show you how to use snowshoes in a safe environment, while sharing stories of the landscape, wildlife and history of Lake Louise.

Day 5
Lake Louise to Jasper via the Icefields Parkway
You will have a beautifully scenic drive today, leaving the Banff National Park and driving along the Icefields Parkway into the Jasper National Park. Check in to your hotel and then explore the charming mountain town of Jasper.

Day 6
Jasper – Full Day Dogsledding Experience
A highlight of this winter experience, today you will have a full day dog-sledding experience. You’ll be transferred on a scenic hour and a half drive to Valemount in British Columbia to the trails. Travel by dog team through the silent undisturbed beauty of winter, venturing deep into the Canadian Rockies. Enjoy the crisp mountain air and the beautiful scenery that surrounds you while you warm up with a hearty trail side lunch, cooked over an open campfire, hot apple cider and homemade treats.

Day 7
Jasper – Choice of Icewalk or Wildlife Tour
Today you have a choice of activity – either choose an exhilarating icewalk through a frozen canyon or take a relaxing wildlife tour. The Icewalk is a fascinating 3 hour guided tour through the deepest canyon in the Jasper National Park – Maligne Canyon. You will walk on the frozen floor of the canyon and stopping for photos of the Queen of Maligne and Angel Icefalls. Boots and ice-cleats are provided. On the Wildlife Discovery Tour, you will be driven through the Athabasca Valley with a professional guide to spot elk, deer, coyotes, wolves and moose. Learn all about how they survive the mountain winters and how these animals contribute to the rich diversity of the national park.

Day 8
Jasper – Banff
This morning return south to the Banff National Park, this time for a few days stay in the charming mountain town of Banff. Explore the charming main street where you will find quirky boutiques, cosy cafes and lively restaurants, all with the magnificent back drop of the mountains.

Day 9
Banff – Sleigh ride
Relax on a tranquil sleigh ride amongst the spectacular setting of the Canadian Rockies – sit back and soak up the atmosphere and scenery of the Banff National Park.

Day 10
Banff – Sunshine Village – Gondola trip - Banff
Today pick up your Tri-Area Sightseeing Lift Pass and either drive or take the ski bus to Sunshine Village base. Here you will board the gondola for a 20 minute trip up into the mountains. When you arrive at the village area, after approximately 20 minutes, you could have lunch at one of a selection of restaurants dotted around the village. Then ride the Standish Chairlift that will take you to the top of Mount Standish – the highest sightseeing elevation in the Banff Lake Louise area. You will have beautiful winter view of the three high-alpine lakes and a superb view of Mount Assiniboine – described as the Matterhorn of the Canadian Rockies.

Day 11
Depart Banff - Fly home
After a leisurely start and perhaps some last minute souvenir purchases, drive back to Calgary airport to drop the car off and catch your flight home.
