Overview

This brilliant small-group tour is a wonderful introduction to British Columbia’s undeniable beauty. With just 22 people per group, you’ll enjoy a personalised experience with your friendly guide, and travel in a mini-coach to enjoy all the views. Starting and ending in Vancouver, you will get the chance to visit some of the area’s most stunning spots, including Lake Louise, Banff National Park, the Icefields Parkway, and even the Inside Passage.

There are great activities included too, such as a relaxed wine tasting tour in Okanagan Valley and an amazing ride on the Icefields Explorer to the Athabasca Glacier. Days 1 - 2

Vancouver

You will begin your adventure with two nights in Vancouver. This time is free for you to explore this fabulous city in your own time. Why not rent a bike and cycle through lush Stanley Park, visit the beautiful Vancouver Art Gallery or explore Capilano Suspension Bridge.

Day 3

Vancouver - Kelowna

Today is the first day of your tour. Arrive at Canada Place at 7am for a departure of 7.15am and depart from Vancouver to enjoy a scenic journey through Fraser Valley, before continuing along the Coquihalla Highway towards Okanagan Valley. Here you’ll enjoy fabulous wine tasting at a local winery. Afterwards, you will arrive in Kelowna for your overnight stop. The afternoon and evening are at your leisure, so why not check out the boardwalk near Lake Okanagan, or the quaint shops.

Day 4

Kelowna – Lake Louise/Banff National Park

Breakfast is included at your hotel this morning. Afterwards, you’ll depart Okanagan Valley and embark on the journey to the Canadian Rocky Mountains. Along the way, you’ll stop at Craigellachie, where the last Spike of the Canadian Railways was set, and also travel over the scenic Roger’s Pass.

You will also have stops at Lake Louise and Moraine Lake to soak up the dazzling views of these glacier-fed lakes. Upon arrival in Banff, you will have the evening free to explore the charming town at leisure.

Day 5

Banff National Park

Enjoy a lovely tour of Banff today, including stops at Bow Falls, the Banff HooDoos, and the famous Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel. There is also the option to enjoy a ride on the fantastic Sulphur Mountain Gondola (additional cost). The rest of the day is at your leisure.

Day 6

Banff National Park – Icefield Parkway/Jasper National Park

Today you’ll be exploring the incredible scenes of Icefields Parkway, stopping by Bow Lake and Athabasca Falls for more breath-taking views. You will also stop at the Discover Centre for a truly memorable experience – riding the Icefields Explorer to the Athabasca Glacier. Arrival to Jasper National Park will be in the late afternoon, with the rest of the day at leisure.

Overnight: Marmot Lodge or Lobstick Lodge or similar. Includes breakfast

Day 7

Jasper National Park – Prince George

It’s another phenomenal drive today, this time along the Maligne Lake Road to the renowned Maligne Lake. Here you can enjoy a scenic walk along the lake edge, or take an optional boat tour to Spirit Island, one of Canada’s most photographed spots.

Afterwards, you’ll stop at Mount Robson, the highest peak in the Canadian Rocky Mountains at an altitude of 3,954m. Your last stop is Prince George, where you’ll be overnight.

Day 8

Prince George – Prince Rupert

Continental breakfast is included at your hotel today. You’ll be following the Skeena River West towards British Columbia’s coast, arriving at Prince Rupert in the evening.

Day 9

Prince Rupert

Following a few days of travel, today is dedicated to relaxation. You'll have the choice of either exploring the Museum of Northern BC or taking part in an optional activity for an added fee. Options include a Grizzly Bear Tour into the Khutzeymateen Valley or Whale Watching, depending on the season.

Day 10

Prince Rupert – Port Hardy via the Inside Passage

Wake up early today for your Inside Passage Ferry Cruise at 5.30am. It’s then a 16-hour journey to Port Hardy, with many wonderful points of interest along the way, including Chatham Sound and Princess Royal Channel.

Day 11

Port Hardy – Alert Bay – Telegraph Cove – Campbell River

Today you will transfer to Port McNeill, for a BC Ferry over to Alert Bay on Cormorant Island. Here, you’ll enjoy a visit to U’mista Cultural Centre and tuck in to some lunch (additional cost) before your ferry back to Port McNeill. Next up is Telegraph Cove, a cosy town that was once a fishing village. Now, you can wander along the boardwalk for a coffee. You’ll arrive in Campbell River in the afternoon, where you can relax.

Day 12

Campbell River

This morning there is the choice of a lovely lay in, or a gorgeous morning walk through the Millennium Trail. There’s the option of a whale watching tour (additional cost), which we personally think is must-do. The tour explores the Salish Sea, Johnstone Strait and Discovery Passage, with likely encounters of dolphins, humpback whales, stellar sea lions and more. From late August to Late October, there is also the option of a bear watching tour, another worthy attraction.

Day 13

Campbell River – Victoria

After breakfast you will travel south towards Victoria, stopping in the town of Comox for lunch (additional cost). You’ll arrive in Victoria in the afternoon, where you can explore at leisure or enjoy an optional activity, for instance a visit to Butchart Gardens (additional cost).

Overnight: Delta Hotels by Marriott Victoria Ocean Pointe Resort or similar. Includes breakfast

Day 14

Victoria – Vancouver

Enjoy breakfast before your fully guided city tour of Victoria, British Columbia’s capital. The tour includes visit to Fisherman’s Wharf, Beacon Hill Park and Mile Zero. The afternoon is then free for your leisure, with great optional activities on offer including a cycling tour around Victoria Harbour (additional cost).

Later on, you’ll board BC Ferries for a 90-minute mini cruise through the Southern Gulf Islands. Your tour finishes in downtown Vancouver around 8pm. We recommend adding another night in Vancouver, so you can relax and enjoy the excellent arts scene.

Day 15

Vancouver

Today marks the end of your trip.

  • Return international flights
