Thrill to the world's biggest rodeo at the action-packed Calgary Stampede before heading for the Rocky Mountains on this memorable tour of the Canadian west. There'll be trips to the classic mountain resorts of Banff, Lake Louise and Jasper with plenty of stunning vistas on the way.
Tour Itinerary
- Day 1 - Calgary
- Arrive in Calgary and transfer to your city hotel for a two-night stay. Meet your Tour Director and find out more about your forthcoming trip before meeting your fellow travelers at an evening Welcome Reception.
- Hotel: Calgary Marriott
- Day 2 - Calgary Stampede
- Spend a day at the world's biggest rodeo - the Calgary Stampede. Your all-day ticket includes reserved seats and fairground admission and you can visit the wealth of stalls and exhibits or enjoy live music. In the evening, witness the action-packed chuckwagon races, and round the day off with the firework and musical Evening Show.

- Day 3 - Calgary - Lake Louise
- We head out from Calgary to Banff National Park and its stunning lakes. Start with a narrated walk along the Lake Louise shore before visiting Moraine Lake in the Valley of the Ten Peaks. After that we drive across the Continental Divide to reach Yoho National Park. We stop at the Spiral Tunnels and Natural Bridge on the way to the beautiful Emerald Lake, before returning to the village of Lake Louise to spend the night.

- Day 4 - Lake Louise - Columbia Icefield - Jasper
- We journey down the incredibly scenic Icefields Parkway with unforgettable mountain views, passing lakes, glaciers and forests. You'll also see wildlife like black and grizzly bears, elk and moose. At the Columbia Icefield, we take an Ice Explorer vehicle onto Athabasca Glacier and then move on to the pretty mountain town of Jasper for a two night stay. There will be an interesting talk after dinner on the region's diverse wildlife which will increase your appreciation of the Rockies.

- Day 5 - Jasper National Park
- Striking out from Jasper to Maligne Canyon, we take a narrated stroll along one of the most scenic spots in the Rockies, with its tumbling waterfalls and dramatic rock formations. Then it's back to Jasper for the rest of the day where you can do your own thing. There is no shortage of activities to try and your Tour Director can help you make the most of the Jasper area.

- Day 6 - Jasper - Icefields Parkway - Banff
- We leave Jasper and head for Banff, stopping at the Lodge of the Ten Peaks on the way with a ride on the Lake Louise Gondola, where you can join a guided walk or enjoy the award-winning nature presentations at the visitor centre. Later, in Banff, there will be a tour of the area, visiting spots like Tunnel Mountain Drive, Surprise Corner and the characteristic eroded rock 'hoodoos' the area is known for. You'll spend two nights in this classic mountain resort.

- Day 7 - Banff
- You're free to explore Banff independently. Options include a trip on the Banff Gondola, helicopter flights over the Rockies and cruises down the Bow River. Join your fellow travelers in the evening for a Farewell Dinner to celebrate a great Canadian tour.

- Day 8 - Banff - Calgary
- Leave the Rockies behind as you return to Calgary to transfer to the airport or city centre hotel for those choosing to extend their stay in Canada.
