Tour Information

See magnificent scenery onboard the Rocky Mountaineer for two days of rail travel through Canada’s West and the Canadian Rockies. Enjoy spectacular views and the extended legroom on RedLeaf coach service. After a couple of nights in Vancouver, board Norwegian Sun to see spectacular wildlife and the breathtaking sights of Alaska.

Day 1

Tuesday. Fly to Calgary
Transfer independently to your 4 star hotel in downtown Calgary where you will be staying for the next 2 nights.

Day 2

Wednesday. Calgary
Time at leisure to visit some of the great attractions this city has to offer. The host city of the 1988 Winter Olympic Games takes pride in its sporting legacy. Visit Canada Olympic Park a multi-purpose athletic facility designed both for winter and summer activities. Alternatively, Glenbow Museum, Calgary Tower and Eau Claire Market are other great places to visit year-round.

Day 3-4

Thursday/Friday
Relax and join the Rocky Mountaineer for two days of all-daylight rail travel through Canada’s West and the Canadian Rockies. Enjoy panoramic views from the GoldLeaf dome coach and spectacular meals in the GoldLeaf dining room.

Day 5

Saturday. In Vancouver at leisure. Perhaps the most stunning city setting in the world, cosmopolitan Vancouver sits beside a natural harbour, with majestic mountains at its back and the ocean at its feet. There are great shopping venues here and, as you have a full day at leisure, there is ample opportunity for exploration too.

Day 6

Sunday. Transfer to pier for 5.30 embarkation.

Day 7

Monday. Cruise the Inside Passage
The beauty of the Inside Passage will amaze you as you cruise through 1,000 miles of epic scenery, towering glaciated mountains, roaring waterfalls, endless islands and virgin rain forests.

Day 8

Tuesday. Ketchikan Alaska
Today’s port of call is Ketchikan, situated on Revillagigedo Island and known as the Salmon Capital of the World’. Here, a picturesque harbour shelters fishing boats and seaplanes.

Day 9

Wednesday. Juneau Alaska
Arrive in the afternoon in Juneau, Alaska’s lovely capital. The city has a Gold Rush story to rival that of Klondike, and is only accessible by seaplane or boat.

Day 10

Thursday. Skagway Alaska 7am-10pm
In the morning your cruise ship docks in Skagway, Alaska’s gateway to the Klondike Gold Rush in Canada’s Yukon.

Day 11

Friday. Cruise Sawyer Glacier
Your ship cruises into the awesome Sawyer Glacier, where huge mountains converge to create an incredible panoramic wonder, a spectacular scene of glaciers and massive icebergs.

Day 12

Saturday. Cruise the Inside Passage
Continue cruising south along British Columbia’s spectacular coastline. Animal and marine life is abundant in this area.

Day 13

Sunday Vancouver early morning
Disembark & transfer to the airport for your overnight return flight.

Day 14

Monday Arrive back home after your overnight flight.

Cabins
All staterooms on Norwegian Sun have a TV, refrigerator, safe, duvet and bathroom with shower and hair dryer. All lower beds are convertible to a queen size bed. All suites and penthouses feature floor-to-ceiling glass doors with private balcony.
