Experiencing Canada’s rugged north is essentially a trip back in time as things remain significantly more unchanged than in the rest of the developed world. This unique adventure holiday offers amazing access to the many treasures the north offers its travellers. Wildlife, ancient culture, and peace to name few; with a luxurious wilderness lodge as home-base.
Mid-September is the ideal timeframe for this adventure because of the beautiful fall colours, the dark night sky and the location of the wolf pack.

Day 1

Start your holiday with a transatlantic flight to Winnipeg, Manitoba where we will spend the first night in a quality hotel in the downtown area.

Day 2

The next morning after an early flight from Winnipeg we arrive at Knife Lake Lodge where one of the expert staff will meet you and provide an orientation to the tour

Day 2-7

The most southern property called North Knife Lake Lodge is the most luxurious in the area. It is located approximately 125 miles southwest of Churchill. This lodge is the only lodge on the lake and is the choice of many discerning anglers annually. Guests on the Lights in the Wild adventure will have access to some absolutely enormous Lake Trout, Arctic Grayling, Walleye, Brook Trout, and Northern Pike species
Wolves are of the most elusive and intelligent creatures in the animal kingdom. To have access to a resident pack means that they are used to human presence enough that some quality sightings are possible and thus this opportunity is rare and sought after by many.
Furthermore, September happens to be of the most beautiful times to visit, where the ambers and reds of a boreal forest in fall are at their best! Amazing fall colours make for amazing photographs

Day 8

After a morning flight from the Lodge, spend the rest of the day exploring Winnipeg. Overnight in Winnipeg.
